Mixed Berry and Banana Smoothie

Reminiscing of the warmer months? Me too….

But this delicious banana and mixed berry smoothie is taking me back to the days when hibernation and 76 layers of clothing weren’t even a consideration. Melbourne’s weather strikes again.

This smoothie is a nod to the warmer months and a nutritious and delicious addition to your day. It’s jam packed full of fibre, vitamin C, iron, calcium, potassium and antioxidants and makes for a great start to your morning or an afternoon snack.

Ingredients

5 pitted dates

2 bananas

1.5 cups of frozen berries

1 handful of spinach

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp psyllium husk (optional)

1 tbsp macqui powder

1 cup of almond milk

Method

1. This is so easy it shouldn’t even need a method.

2. Blend dates.

3. Add all other ingredients and blend until smooth.

Serve with banana and fresh berries or make a smoothie bowl and mix it with some of your favourite raw granola.
