Spring Cleaning for Self

I am back.

After a rather longer than expected break from Earth by Anna, I am finally back. A heartfelt apology to all those wondering what the heck happened to me. You know, when it rains, it pours, and it has been absolutely bucketing/hailing/snow storming for the last couple of months. I have been drowning in work and life, desperately trying to keep my head above water and shit has just been absolutely hectic. I will save the life stories for another time, but apologies for the absence on Earth by Anna.

As I am sure you are all aware, if you are a Melbournian, we missed out on spring entirely this year. Yep, it just decided to not show up at all. It has been one long, slow, torturous winter filled with Primaloft jackets, too much activewear, unreasonable amounts of mulled wine and a disgusting amount of hot chips/comfort food. However, even though spring decided to take a rain check on 2016, summer is bound to be just around the corner (weather gods, please show some mercy) and we will soon be leaving the comforts of our homes with less than seven layers of clothing on.

With this in mind, spring is a great time of the year to clean out your beauty cabinet and make way for products that are going to be kind to your skin, hair and nails throughout the warmer seasons. During the cooler months, most of us spend far too much time roasting in the comforts of our heating, blasting our hair and skin at high temperatures with hairdryers and hot showers and skipping the moisturiser because it’s too cold to stand in the bathroom in the nude. Sound familiar?

Your skin, hair and nails have no doubt been to hell and back in the last six months and now is the time to start their rehab program. By making small changes and adding a few additional things to your beauty regime, you can kickstart your personal care regime and have your limbs, locks and lips back to their best in no time. To help you recover from the arctic temperatures and help you prepare for the tropics, i’ve compiled a list of my favourite cruelty-free and vegan products from Neena to soothe, invigorate and nurture your skin, hair and nails back to optimal health…..and keep them there.
